Passing Time.

I had decided to take a pair of shoes to Manong. He is the guy who mends my shoes. Whether a strap is about to snap, or if the soles need mending with a little polishing to finish the task. As he was still sewing another pair, I went to buy something else to fill my slight craving.

Passing time, I sat in this corner. Grabbed little bites, sipped on my drink, scrolled in my mobile, exchanged messages with a good friend..

And snapped a selfie. Click!
This is one of the reasons I'm grateful for who invented the mobile phone.

Soon enough an hour has passed. Just in time for me to watch how this guy worked on my pair of shoes. See the tan sandal on the table?  In little time he was done with the other pair.

Back in kiddo's school, his team was rehearsing for an upcoming city event his school will be participating. He is the little guy in white shirt and brown shorts.

Me and the rest of the spectators. Two more selfies.

The Weekend Blog.

It was so unplanned. Just because hubby was back from an out-of-town trip, we couldn't decline his treat out though I was struggling to get up after some routine household chores preoccupied me. I needed to go somewhere, too.

We happened to chance at little Johan's favorite toy store. Inspecting just about anything, I wondered if he wants a different kind of toy.

Oh, dear! He found the Nerf bullets!

Soon enough, we were seeking assistance from a Sales lady.

This is where the game ends. Another Nerf gun.

Just Saying.

This was a day after malling with hubby and kiddo. We happened to drop-by the watch repair section. They charged higher but very trustworthy as far as service and handling is concerned. In a matter of minutes, my tiny tick-tock has come to life again. Just like the 1st day I got it. As inspiring as this moment for this series of selfies.

Photobombed? I don't mind, really. Photos like this breaks the monotony of routine life, I must say. As the quote says, "Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."

I am not sure about what this picture tells you but the lady behind me seems to be so bored to care.

Honestly, I was so tempted to do the same.   If not because of "what-ifs." You can never be certain of what's going to happen in that brief drift to the other dimension. To add, I couldn't allow this red lipstick to smear. Sayang din kung i-tulog lang, eh. Hah..!  :)

Let me try AGAIN.

Hello 2015!

Happy New Year!

I may have missed a lot on my posts--completing my 100 days, how I spent my last Christmas, New Year's Eve, and other special occasions. But hey, there is so much moments to make and count for another year has come.

Social media keeps me abreast with my friends. It is also very instrumental in keeping the spirit of camaraderie. Just as I got messaged through chat with a high school batch mate, I then booked the next day to join the rest of the "flock" in a get-together in her abode.

I realized finding some old friends' home isn't much a problem when you have the will power to be with them.

First photo taken. Can't simply resist having a photo taken in here.  :)

This part of the house in the second floor caught much of my attention as I love the flowing flowery vines.

In the living room, we watched the live coverage of Pope Francis visit in the Philippines.

Look at us in this photo--compressed to one side though there's still space in the other side. And the three (3) of us in pink tops in that side. We could have been in different sides. Lol! :)

If a single picture speaks a thousand words, then how could our unending poses speak of?

I think it's painted in the joy in our hearts through our smiles, laughter and even through the voices that seems to echo each time we talk.

Cheers to friendship. For more fun-filled moments, love, joy and laughter in 2015!

VIVA SR SAN AGUSTIN!

The CDO Fiesta Parade is always anticipated by my family. My husband and I would be on leave for work to watch it with my kids. Now that they're all grown, they still long to be there.

We woke up early and rushed to a main street where the parade will pass. My eldest son, little Johan, hubby and ME. Having hubby with us is always an advantage--he has a way of making us move fast and be there before any event. Such a great plus!

Soon enough the parade started.

Some flag bearers, followed by guys on horses, and the city mayor in a top down car.
Soon there were school bands with ladies which I found so boring. Mostly doing the same thing--twirling the baton, marching, and doing exhibitions on some points.

Son, me and little Johan. Then came the clowns giving candies to kids.
Free water was also spotted nearby. So nice. I don't have to bother going around to find something to quench my thirst.

These are just few of the floats we have seen. It was a long parade that we can't wait to finish.

Happy Fiesta CDO. Viva Sr. San Agustin!

Happy 1st Birthday Yuna!

Having little Johan has accustomed me to kiddie parties. This time it was a well planned party which started in buffet lunch, games, magic, and swimming. Such was the overwhelmed joy painted on our little one's face as each activity unfold. Strawberry Shortcake was the main mascot making the party more fun for the kids.

Bad moment for little Johan. He couldn't help but take out what's been in his nose. :)

Being filipino, the pabitin is one of the kids favorite games in kiddie parties. I had to help as our little one is not accustomed to grabbing as many goodies as he can. I must say, we have taught him well to share.

After all the games had been played, time for him to check on the large 3 ft pool with his mamcee, the birthday celebrator and some others.

Me and my elder sister enjoying the view in the mini-bar beside the pool.

Happy 1st birthday YUNA!

Celest at 18.

Seems like it was only few days ago I've held her in my arms, seen her milestones, witnessed her display talent on stage, and been into beauty pageants even in her early phase in life. And now, she has blossomed into what she is now--a young lady full of dreams. At eighteen, she has come into another phase in life yet so eager to brave it all.

I was so happy to be in her debut. Considering the many friends she has from school--mostly high school and college. She, too made her aunts, uncles, relatives and even chosen friends from her neighborhood a part of her 18th birthday celebration.

A pose with the celebrant, my boys and little Johan. He was spotted covering his ears most of the night. He hates loud music but I could tell he had a great time, too.

Mom had to wait until the last flash before she could enjoy her cake.

Me and my sisters.

As we celebrate life, thank you dear Lord for the blessings you have bestowed on us.
